This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Damn, it's a long time ago I really visited DeviantART. I do come here almost every week, but just to look for some stuff.
Now I'm really back (I hope). The past few months I díd made photos, but never posted them here or even post processed them. I'm revising my whole databank of photographs at the moment. Almost 10.000! You'll see some of them soon.
Meanwhile I bought a Kingstom Elite Pro 8GB 133x Compact Flash memory card, so Ican shoot 450 RAW's I bought a flash, the Metz Mecablitz FL 36 AF-4, a simple one, but fine for now. I bought a battery grip today, the Ownuser batterygrip for my Olympus E-520, it'll arrive very soon.
I'm exploring the capabilities of an external flash in and around my house now. Even built a softbox out of the cardboard box the flash was inside and really seeing nice result from that thing on top of my camera. (see [link] (scrapbook)
Thanks! Yea, heard about those! I bought mine dirt cheap though, and didnt read about the Cactus triggers before after i ordered my Blazzeo triggers. Just make sure you get the V4s-triggers, there were some triggering-problems with the V4 triggers, atleast i read so.
My flash has a guide number of 53; so its quite powerful I had ISO1600 on the pic though, luckily the 40D has very little noise at high ISO! What flash do you plan on triggering with your triggers?
I have recently bought a Metz Mecablitz FL-36. Just 74 euros. Guide number of 36 (metres). Nice for indoor photography. It's so nice to have an external flash!
I can't find a V4s..?
What I read is: 2fps with V2s vs. 7fps with V4 and some hot shoe connection issues (it's a little bit to high to connect all pins of some flashes) V4 has a range of over 75 metres. And 16 channels.
No, sorry, probably my mistake. I read that the previous version of the V4 trigger had some triggering issues, but as there doesnt seem to be a V4s, im probably wrong. Maybe it was the V2 that had some triggering problems.
I have the Blazzeo PT04, got it off dealextreme for 18 bucks. Dirt cheap, with free shipping and all. Im guessing that the cactus triggers may be better than the blazzeo ones, but ive read that theyre pretty much the same! My blazzeo doesnt have 75 meters range though, i found out that today. It has a decent range though, im not unsatisfied at all!
Ive actually thought of buying a Metz 36 aswell, as a slave #2... We have one at work that noone is buying, so i might buy it at a low price

It's all here for you, as long as you choose to stay
it's all here for you as long as you don't fly away
I am going to buy a cactus wireless flash trigger V4 next month. Can't wait for it!
